Green Eggs and Ham

I have always wondered, is this green eggs and green ham or are just the eggs green? I can see how it would be easy to dye eggs green, but green ham? Is it alien ham, from outerspace somewhere? Or is it moldy ham, which could almost be green, but would be disgusting. The world may never know.
